Flux density

Flux density tells us how strong a magnetic field is by describing how tightly the flux is packed together.

Flux density if the flux per unit area and is given the symbol Dynamic image 0. Flux density is measured in tesla, where 1 tesla is equal to 1 webber of flux per metre squared. Algebraically:

Flux density is also called the strength or the magnitude of the magnetic field.
